I love to photograph nature as it is and never change anything to make the photo more enticing or exciting. Nature doesn't need any help being beautiful.
About Artwork:
This particular shot was my first time ever attempting to capture the excitement of lightning. A storm was brewing across the bay and the pier in Punta Gorda was the perfect place to set up and try my luck. Another photographer was out there with bigger and better equipment and I was intimidated at first. I wasn't about to miss out on such a perfect opportunity though. I used the ledge of the pier as my tripod and set up what I thought were good settings. It was probably the most fun I've ever had watching a storm. I think I even impressed the other photographer with some of my shots! It was a big confidence booster for an amateur photographer, and definitely a reason I want to continue down this path.
